AROUND AND AROUND WE GO

By
Gypsy Rhapsody

Around and around the mulberry bush...
Not exactly the mulberry bush, but Vannie and Dave
made lots of stops and visits during the first part of April.
After leaving Austin, we headed to Hillsboro, TX where we
are members of the North Texas Airstream Community (NTAC).
We enjoyed a few days, then V and D headed for their around the world tour.
More about the "world" part later.

I stayed in Hillsboro while they headed out on their trip.

North Louisiana was their first stop.
This is James Avenue in Farmerville, LA.
Dave's mom, Pearl, lives at the top of the hill.

Peaceful back road in Bernice, LA.

V saw all this wild wisteria in Bernice.

These talented girls paid Ms. Pearl a visit Easter Saturday afternoon.

Dave's mom is 96.  She loved this visit from these precious girls.

Easter Sunday with niece, Amy and great great nephew, Ben

After leaving Farmerville, V and D headed south.
They rolled through Sterlington, LA.
It was mighty foggy that day.

Moving on south
A stop for lunch with cousin, Emmilee Green
in Harrisonburg, LA.
Emmiliee has a wonderful place right on the Ouachita River.

Next Big Stop
Lafayette, LA
Grandson, Cooper was out of school, so V and D were on grandparent duty.

Many faces of Cooper.  He's hard to catch.
(Would you just look at Dave...That's some serious relaxing.)

Fountain at the University Art Museum

V said this was the coolest video exhibit.
This is not a painting...it has been projected on the wall.

Enjoying the wonderful Lafayette springtime
Taco Sisters
Famous for their fish tacos
Yummy

Right down the street from Taco Sisters
Borden's Ice Cream Parlor
Banana Split Supreme
Dave beat Cooper to the draw and got the first bite.
I can tell Coop is ready for a rematch.

Ant Hill Creation

This looks like the best grandparent's project EVER.

Hey...I don't believe this is a scene from Texas or Louisiana.
Although, there is a Paris, Texas, but they do not have an Eiffel Tower.

(This is what she meant about "world" tour.)
V and D are flying out of DFW tomorrow for Paris, France.
They will be gone two weeks.  Hopefully, they can send me some pictures, but
might have to wait till they get back.
I'll be waiting here in my fave spot in Hillsboro.
Everyone here keeps an eye on me.
Vannie did have the bright idea to create a "flat" picture of me to take with them

And now, I would like to introduce..."drum roll, please"...
FLAT GYPSY
"Flat Gypsy" is going to Paris.
