BFF SLEEPOVER

This story happened about 2 weeks ago...
before the Coronavirus started heating up.
Thankful and Grateful for this BFF sleepover.

Vannie and Dave arrive in Austin, TX
on March 4.  It was beautiful day.

Daughter, Emile, with Vannie and Dave...
Sitting pretty with me.
Can you see my smile, too?

Austin Lone Star RV is a perfect place for us.
It is only about 10 minutes from Emilie's.
There is a Walmart, Target, Gas Stations, and a McDonald's near by.

The weekend started with a UT Baseball game.
Son-in-law, Roy, and Grandson, Vincent

Maddie and her BFF, Audra, were there, too....
but baseball was the further-est thing from their minds.

On to "me" after the game...
The evening started with an art project.
String art is so much fun...and super easy...
and the finished project almost always looks good.

Girls came inside and played with their animals until they were exhausted.

Vannie said, "Hey,Girls, let's go swimming."
They said, "Yeaaaaaa."

As you can see...they swam until the sun went down.
They pool was slightly heated.  It felt just too too good to get out.

Back to "me"...
Time for a performance...
Maddie on the ukulele...
Audra on the Native American flute...

Time to switch instruments...
Vannie and Dave were a captive audience.
Lots of clapping and encouragement.

M and A and all their stuffed animals
were lovin' "The Greatest Showman".
The girls were singing along with every song.
Their fave..."A Million Dreams"
Vannie said, they watched it about a million times.

Ahhh...Maddie's out...Audra's not far behind.

But...they were up the next morning WAY to early.
You can see Dave is still snoozing...or he is pretending.
The sun is coming through that back window...but
the sun was no where to be seen at 3:30 am.
Yep, you heard me...3:30.
Vannie kept telling them to go back to sleep,
but then they started giggling.
There was no turning back.
So what to do...Everyone just had to get up, too.
Well, Vannie got up and Dave stayed incredibly still.

Thank goodness...Target opened at 7:00 am.
When all else fails, go shopping.

What a better way to top off a BFF sleepover
than to hit the Starbucks after shopping.

So much fun...
 thankful and grateful
for this time with the girls.

It's amazing what's taken place
since then.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
