THE EYES OF TEXAS ARE UPON ME

By
Gypsy Rhapsody

The Eyes of Texas are upon me, even as I was heading out from New Mexico.  Here you see me leaving Mrs. Gonzales' RV...my home for the last 4 months.

God gave me a big shout-out as we headed out of NM...

These are "Texas Eyes", for sure...Cadillac Sculptures heading into  Amarillo.
Notice Dave and Vannie shadow selfies...

"Texas Eyes" kept me company during the night at the Texas Travel Center in Amarillo.
I felt like a pee-mite between these two "eyes"...but very safe.

"Texas Eyes" early in the morning...

Back to Hillsboro...and 2 of the cutest "Texas Eyes" spend the weekend with V and D and me.
Emilie (V and D's daughter) met us in Temple, TX and handed off Madeline and Vincent to Vannie and Dave.  They stayed for 4 days...so much "Texas" fun.

Pioneer Days in Whitney, TX...with "Texas Eyes" all over the place.
Vannie said that little town knows how to "do" a fair.
Maddie and Vincent loved the roller coaster.

...and the motorcyles

...and, of course, the games.

City Park in Hillsboro, TX
Water, water everywhere, and not a drop to drink.
Dave said he could almost feel the "Texas Eyes" following him around the park...helping everyone have a great time.

Breakfast in Me..."Texas Eyes" watching over us early in the morning.
Pancakes and Eggs
I was smellin' goooood.

All cozy snuggled up inside me.

Texas Blue Eyes

After church on Sunday...eating cookies that they had just made.
Chocolate chip...delicious...then they shared them with our "Texas Eyes" neighbors.

Great to be back!!!!

The Eyes of Texas are upon you.
All the live long day.
The Eyes of Texas are upon you.
You can not get away.
Do not think you can escape them...
At night and early in the morn.
The Eyes of Texas are upon you.
Till Gabriel blows His Horn...

AMEN

  2. Saw Cadillac Ranch almost 15 years ago on my way to Glorieta, NM. Amazing to see that it is still standing.
