Just as Dorothy said to Toto in the
Wizard of Oz…”We’re not in Kansas anymore”…that’s how I felt while rolling
through Roswell, NM. If you remember,
that is where UFO’s were suspected to have landed in 1947. That is way before any of our time…except
Vannie and Dave’s…they were born in 1946.
Gosh, I can’t believe they are that old, but, alas…
There were replicas of aliens on
almost every corner downtown…you know the kind …green, big head, big slanted
eyes. Vannie said that she remembers seeing
them in movies at the Royal Theater in Bernice, LA when she was a kid…so it
must be true! Yea, Right!
Well, anyway, they parked me and my
BFF in a big empty lot and headed to the nearest UFO museum. They were laughing so hard when they came
back about the guy behind the counter…had fake Vulcan ears on…or at least they
thought they were fake. Who knows…maybe
not.
